Originally planted by Rubaduc and adopted in 2012 by CodyBCleo.

This is a six and a half mile round trip unless you continue to Bear Mt.

Park at the Undermountain Trail parking lot on route 41 in Salisbury CT.

Follow Undermountain trail for 1.1 miles to the intersection of Paradise Lane trail. Turn right onto Paradise Lane and follow blue blazes, walk through a cut in a stone wall with ledges to the left. Go uphill for a bit and then the trail levels out (repeat this process a few more times) eventually coming to a spot of scrub pines and mountain laurel, cross a brook (no bridge) walk an area with ledges under foot coming to a wooden bridge and start watching on the right side of the trail for a cement and metal marker (plaque) honoring Edward H Lorenz. This marker is about four steps off the right side of the trail, low to the ground (and unlikely to be seen with any snow cover) in an area of many Hemlocks (if you come to trail signs where you connect to the Appalachian Trail, you went too far). Standing on the trail at the marker, take a reading of 14 degrees, walk 17 steps to stand on top of a triangular shaped rock with a letterboxing crevice underneath.

After rehiding well, you can retrace your steps or continue to Bear Mountain to make a loop hike out of it and to get more boxes.
