Came to the Fox River Settlement, Illinois, in 1839.
Ordained into the Holy Ministry, Oct 3, 1843.
Served Congregations in Illinois, Wisconsin,
Minnesota, Iowa, Dakota Territories, and Texas.
Died-Chicago, Illinois, Jan 10, 1883.
Erected at Centenial Celebration, 1940."
So says the plaque honoring Elling Eielsen.
When reading the sign, look right. You will find the micro-box guarded by three small rocks under the southeastern-most evergreen.
