A long time ago there was a small village tucked into the
woodlands. One year, for a short period of time, this village was having a crisis. All the children were going missing. These disappearances seemed to happen while the children were walking to school or completing chores along the path where it crosses stream. No one knew exactly what was causing the children to go missing; but, of course, rumors of some ferocious creature quickly spread from town to town. By the time spring bloomed the following year,
there were no children left in the entire village. It would seem that the mysterious culprit had itself disappeared or at least stopped coming around. While many other stories passed from one village to the next for many generations to come, not a peep was mentioned about the disappearances of the children that year in any of those stories or for many years afterward.

Many years later in these same woodlands it seems that history was beginning to repeat itself. Folks began to whisper behind closed doors, vaguely remembering the strange tale that had trickled down in parts from their ancestors. Children were once again mysteriously going missing along the old road. To date, fourteen children have gone missing and it seems likely there will be more. The local backlash of these recent disappearances is that the locals are terrified and trying to protect themselves and their
children. They are barring/ taping up their windows and doors. Local law enforcement officials have no firm leads at this point and are policing all the wrong places. This combination of events is only making it easier for this mysterious creature to snatch up more yummy little children.

To find the monster and save the latest victim:

Parking: is best at the intersection of Huntermill rd., Hunter station and the WO&D trail. Once you have parked there cross huntermill and there you will see the first clue.

Start your search at the grave marker then walk past three giants eastbound. You will then follow the brown snake northeast past the fiery pit of doom as where two snakes become one. Within sight is the monster with his only arm raised high with branches of green. With past victims at his feet you will need to lay this monster to rest. Afterwards, you will see his latest victim hiding in a 2 headed hydra nearby.

This Letterbox was originally created on Geocaching.com but I decided to broaden it to Letterboxing, I hope you like it!

The Letterbox is only big enough for small trade items, stamp, inkpad and logbook.

A bike could be used to find this cache, just be careful!
