*****New Clues and hiding places as of 5/20/2006 because of poison ivy and curious and distructive people.Sorry for the inconvenience******

These boxes were placed by PTBeachbum and Bren.
**** Please note that this is a seasonal letterbox and will be removed on Labor Day 2006. Also there are no stamp pads and there is a notebook for you to stamp in the last box.

These boxes were planted on my father's 85th birthday!

This ball field has been hosting ball games for over 50 years.

To find these boxes, take 138 south toward Somerset from Taunton Green. At second set of light, bear to the right and continue to the next set of lights. Take a right onto First Street and the Joseph N Elias Moemorial Ball Field will be on your left.( If you are lost and are asking for directions. Ask for Weir Ball Field, I don't think anyone in Taunton knows it by it's real name.)
Park in the lot and begin your quest.

The First Box is called The Glove:
Walk onto the field and you will see a large rock with a memorial plaque. Facing the field use your compass and find the object that is at 98'. You will find the glove behind it under a heart-shaped silver rock.

The Second Box is called the Bat & Ball.
Facing the field again find the object that is at 198' and your quest will be at it's base under a flat rock.

The third and last box called the Weir Field.
Turn 180' and follow to tree line. follow tree line SW 240' to a chain link fence. Turn left and your final prize will be under the large flat rock

Now you can find a spot on the bleaches and enjoy the game.

We hope you have as much fun finding our letterboxes and we had hiding them. Happy hiking and boxing, PTBeachbum and Bren.

To find another of our Boxes "Cool Cats in the Bird Sanctuary"
Take a left out of the parking lot and bear left. Follow this street till you get to stop sign. Take a left and follow this road thru two main intersections till you find the Gertrude Boydon Wildlife refuge on your left.
