Take Rt 202 to Powder Mill Rd and turn west. Take the first left onto RAMP RD. This will turn to dirt once you pass the town dump. Drive in-VERY CAREFULLY; the ruts are about big enough to swallow a small car-less than a mile till you see the faded 'closes at sunset' sign on the left and the orange Trophy Trout Area sign on the right. There is room for about 3 cars here. Be aware of BUGS and INSECTS of all kinds-and it's not even summer yet!

BRING INK OR MARKERS. THERE IS ONLY A LOG BOOK IN THE LAST BOX.
Thanks to Jonah's Whalers for the updates and to my favorite Duc for all the repairs. I couldn't maintain without you!

Now for the story interruption: for many years our family vacationed several times a year in South Bethany Delaware. It is a lovely town, especially in the off season. BBBunny decided to tell you about the fun we have there in this series. He carved the stamps several years ago and RTRW and I finally made a point to plant them today!

Clues:
While still within sight of your car, and heading down the 'road' you will pass an opening to another path on the left. Just beyond this is a large tree consisting of 3 large and 1 small sibling.
Seems that the sibs have begun to crumble so look carefully. Nestled up between the smallest and the trunk is MINI GOLF. There are numerous Old Pro Golf courses in Ocean City Md and we have played them all. I think our favorite is the Pirate Cove.

Continuing down said 'road' notice when the bank on the right begins to rise. Soon there will be a big rock on the right side. Go past that 7 steps and head over the bank, but not too far. Between 2 big rocks is a small round one covering ROCK CANDY. We always stop at Candy Kitchen for fresh made chocolate or ice cream-and a good source of Beanie Babies when we had to have the latest ones.

Keep walking for a bit and enjoy the view of the river. Heck, if it's really hot, take a swim! Once you pass the big rocks in the river and a green gate (on the left) you are getting close to the next box. Head left on the yellow trail. See 3 stumps in a row? Or the remains of stumps? Under #3 is ARCADE TIME. The boys loved to spend an afternoon in the Arcade at the boardwalk. I brought a book and found some shade-after I played some skee ball first. They learned how to make a roll of quarters last for hours!

Now go left at the trail sign and head South, but not on the green-dot-in-blue (Nepaug?) trail. Before your feet get wet go right on the trail and under a 'squirrel bridge'. At the base of the bridge is THE BEACH. How can you not love the beach?

Now find your way across the stream and head up the hill towards the main trail (again, I think it's Nepaug). As you pass a tree with 3 trail signs on it stop and say hello to Sea-crete's Goldie the Goldfish. The trail sings have gone by the wayside. Head out from Goldie at 100* to a trail and walk back the direction from which you came. See the green gate on your left which you passed earlier? On the right you will see a lot of downed trees with a 'purpose'. People come here! Go beyond the 'purpose' to the very back and find the stump rising above a double trunk with white blotches on it. Beside the double end, beneath the birch, is SHELL. What's a trip to the beach without shells? We have many, many of them.

Head back to the trail. Soon you will see a stone wall. Find the stump which looks like it should house a letterbox. It doesn't, but in the front of the wall at the bottom you will find the SUN shining for you. Remember that too much sun at the beach will give you a bad burn and then you can't enjoy the rest of your vacation!

Across from 2 mysterious birch-well, maybe they're not both birch-is a pile of rocks. Due South is a hole with a CRAB in it for your dinner. We always smashed crabs with whatever extended family was along for dinner on the 4th of July. I think the record was 21 in one sitting!

You're still on the trail parallel to the 'road' where you parked. After climbing over/under the trees which obstruct the path you will be able to see you car. Before getting to it look left along the edge of the road for the large log with greenery growing on top. Underneath the left end is FUN IN DELAWARE. Watch out for the big stick! This log is harder to find since the trail no longer goes back to the road on which you started. Look carefully!

I hope you had fun enjoying our time in Delaware. If you ever get the chance to visit there, take your clues along. There are some great boxes in Sussex County.
