This letterbox is one of 5 placed by Girl Scouts of Freedom Valley Junior Troop 1766 of Phoenixville PA as part of their Junior Girl Scout Bronze awards projects.

Created by “Moose”

I ran from the house across from the 25 mph sign on Fillmore Street. I ran west, according to the compass on my wrist, past the basketball courts and the playground. Some days my sister and I played there, but not today. She had broken the chain on my favorite necklace and I was getting her back by stealing her diary key. My feet slap over “Simon Seullin FDY PHILA PA.” My back is to Reservoir Park as I dash across the street and to the end of Friendship Field, which is on my left. I pass a cluster of evergreens and cross the street that allows you to do something. I cross again when I come to Emmett. I jog past the lady with the pot on her head, and the pot covered in swirly colors. I spin around the fire hydrant, cross St. Mary’s Street, and the “Do No Enter” alley. When the red brick road changed to sidewalk I took roughly 40 steps (I lost count a few times). I wait for green. I sprint past the sign that reads “stop here on red” and the two angels. I rush past the beat-up owl and take 23 paces to Vanderslice. I cross and walk the bridge (catching my breath) with 5 lampposts to my left. I stroll to the community garden and turn left. I continued past the house of the Blobfest. I begin to run across Bank Street and jog past the mural. I ask the kid in the knickers which way to go. I continue jogging past the oldest house in Phoenixville and cross at the Municipal lot entrance. I go past the fire hydrant and the Do No Enter sign. I trod over the letters WERES as I walk toward the white house on the hill. I hang a left at the no trespassing sign and break into a run. My sister will have realized what I took by now and she is a fast runner. I sprint past 3 lampposts on my left and the orange arch. I turn right towards the mini bridge and cross it. I take the left path, past the yellow fire hydrant and continue until I run into the fence under the bridge. It's locked and i can go no further. I see a well on my left, with a little path to the left of it. 8 quick steps lead me to a small clearing. Desperately I look for a place to hide the key. To my left I spy a cement pillar, and I quickly hide the key at the base of it.
