UPDATE AS OF 5/3/2007:
THIS SERIES DID HAVE FOUR LETTERBOXES NOW THERE ARE ONLY TWO BECASUE SOMEONE THOUGHT THEY NEEDED THE STAMPS AND THECONTENTS MORE THAN THE REST OF US THAT LIKE TO HAVE AN ENJOYABLE HUNT. THERE ARE STILL TWO BOXES IN THE HIDING PLACES BUT BE VERY MINDFUL OF THOSE AROUND YOU. I HAVE HAD TWO BOXES OUT OF THIS SERIES STOLEN AND IF ANYONE SEES YOU THEY'LL TAKE THESE TWO ALSO. I HAVE CHECKED THIS AREA AND ALL SEEMS TO BE SECURE. THE BEST TIME TO GO LOOK FOR THESE BOXES ARE WHEN CHILDREN ARE IN SCHOOL, OR ON THE WEE HOURS OF THE MORNING OF THE WEEKEND OR LATE EVENING WHEN MOST FMAILIES ARE STARTING TO GO HOME. HAPPY HUNTING AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK. I AM SORRY THAT YOU CAN NOT HUNT FOR THE OTHER TWO;HOWEVER THE WALK ALONG THE ENTIRE HUNT IS GOING TO BE A NICE ONE.
NEW INFORMATION ON BONUS BOX AT THE BOTTOM. THIS WAS PLACED ON JUNE 5, 2006......

From Business 40 through Kernersville, take the Main St. Exit. Turn North (You will pass McDonalds and Burger King on the left). Go approx. ½ miles into downtown Kernersville and turn Left onto Mountain St. Follow Mountain St. out of town for Approximately 1 mile. Kernersville’s 4th of July Park will be on your right.

Park on the side that has the skate park and the basketball courts.

These 4 boxes are dedicated to The 4th of July Park and all military personal.

Remember to enjoy the park, but keep nature and all that is there undisturbed. Be respectful and have fun.

Walk on the cement walk way towards the paved path way. The shelter should be in front of you. Walk past the shelter until you reach the Pre-School play area. Take the cement walk way through the play area and walk through there and give your children time to play a while there before moving on. Follow the cement pathway until you reach the paved walk way again. At this time the play area is on your left and the wing set area is on your right. Turn right here and stay on the paved area and walk past the bathroom area. Once you see a wooden bridge that is zig-zagged. Take that bridge and walk across that bridge. Turn right onto the non-paved pathway and let you children play a the yellow play ground area for a while and walk up to the cement pad that has a picnic table and eat your lunch here. Once you are done stand with the picnic table to your back and the yellow jungle gym on your right. Walk stright about 25 steps and you'll see a big rock near a tree. Look under that rock and the leaves, there is what you seek...the first box of four.
Return to the path and take a right that leads to another paved path way and turn left. Walk up the hill and you should see another shelter. Turn left and stay on that paved pathway until you pass another shelter that is on your right. Take your time and enjoy the sounds of nature. You might even see some wild life playing around in the trees and on the ground.
IAM SORRY BUT BOX NUMBER TWO HAS BEEN STOLEN BUT STAY ON THE PATH FOR A NICE WALK AND THE REST OF YOUR HUNT. UPDATED 5/3/2007
Once you come to the paved path way that turns left or right you are going to want to take the left. Before you cross the cement bridge look for two trees that looks like that are joined at the bottom. Walk around behind those two trees and underneath the leaves and some limbs is the second box that you are seeking. If you cross the cement bridge you have passed what you are seeking.

BOX THREE HAS ALSO BEEN STOLEN. BUT THE BONUS BOX IS STIL THERE FOR SEEKING. I AM SORRY. UPDATED 5/3/2007
Return to the path and cross the cement bridge and take a left on the paved path way. Take that path way. On your right is the Pre-School play area. Stay on that path way until you reach the area where the two bridges are. Walk towards the straight one and walk to the tree to the right of that bridge. Turn left after facing that tree and you should have the bridge to your left and the stream in front of you. Take a few minutes to enjoy how the water sounds as it flows over the rocks.
Now look to your left slowly and look down. You are going to be looking at an area that is at the corner of the bridge. Under the corner of that bridge under some leaves and rocks is the third box that you are seeking.
UPDATED (5/3/2007): THIS BOX IS STILL IN THE HIDING PLACE BUT BE VERY MINDFUL OF THOSE AROUND YOU. IHAVE HAD TWO BOXES OUT OF THIS SERIES STOLEN AND IF ANYONE SEES YOU THEY'LL TAKE THIS ONE ALSO. I HAVE CHECKED THIS AREA AND ALL SEEMS TO BE SECURE.
BONUS BOX PLACED JUNE 5, 2006 **HANDMADE STAMP**

Go back to the area where you found box number 2. Cross the cement bridge and turn right onto the paved walk-way, pass a trash can on your right keep going pass the picnic table. Look for the wooden bridge. Walk to that bridge but do not cross that bridge. Stand in front of the bridge, turn left and take a few steps to the left side of the bridge bend over slightly and look under the bridge where there is a "V" shaped section and some cement. There is what you have been seeking. Becareful as you seek this box it is eaily visualized as you reach for it if there are people around. THIS BOX HAS BEEN REPLACED FORM THE NORMAL LOCATION BECAUSE THE LAST FINDER FOUND THAT THE PERSON BEFORE THEM DID NOT SEAL THE BOX GOOD AND EVERYTHING IN THE CONTAINER WAS DESTROYED EXCEPT FOR THE STAMP. SO PLEASE RESEAL THE WAY THAT YOU FOUND THE BOX.
THANK YOU.

I hope that you have had fun finding the boxes and now take some more time to enjoy the park and what it has to offer.

Let me know when you find the boxes.
