(Clue for box #1 updated 1/26/10):
#1 - After the high road and low road paths rejoin, find the twins on the left. Stop. Look uphill to a telephone pole at the road's edge. Just below it find a 6 ft long boulder with a hole under its middle; low and trailside. Behind rock. Be aware of your surroundings as you are viewable from above & below.
Back the way you were.
#2 – Has had to be moved due to a tree falling on top of hiding spot! The original clues said: To rocky clearing. Two triangle rocks on right. Look under back edge of smaller triangle on left. Behind rocks.
OK – so go past said rocks (now well disguised underneath lots of cut pine pieces). Follow past: gully with drain up high, path curving right then left around a small cove. Step up out of cove apex, past double-double blaze. Keep going until you see: V tree on left with one arm reaching over path, followed by a large sloping rock on left, a root step up on the path and white blaze just ahead. From root step look for a V tree off to the right about 19 steps off trail. Go there. Then 40 steps at 292 degrees to an oak with a flat stone welcome mat. Under right edge behind another stone. Please re-hide snuggly under the bigger rock.
