** A new box is needed. I am not currently in the area, so please let me know if you can help. Thanks **
This area is dog friendly. The box is .08 mi. from the parking area, so almost a drive-by.
DIRECTIONS: From Phoenix, take !-10 heading west, then take Rt. 85 south. Near mile marker 144 is the right turn into Buckeye Hills Recreation Area. Take this dirt road on into the park and past the big rock sign, and turn left into the first picnic area with restrooms and park here.
CLUES: Head south to the far end of the picnic area, to the L-shaped shelter. There is a BBQ grill on the S/W side. Stand in front of this grill, and at about 230 degrees is a palo verde tree. Go up the hill to this tree, and go around to the back side, and see another palo verde tree ahead. Go about 20 steps at 250 degrees to the rocks on the side of this tree. You’ll end up at 2 large rocks with a gap between them. The box is on the northern side of the rock to the right, where it looks like the rocks are split. Please rehide well, keeping it looking like the rocks are split.
