The Pine Tree Letterbox is on Redway Plain which runs along Rte 44 in Rehoboth. From Taunton, take a left onto Bay State Road just before the field (DO NOT turn at the set of lights at the junction of routes 118 and 44- keep going). From Seekonk take a right just after the field. This is a relatively rural area with few landmarks so watch carefully. You may also notice signs for the library and Congregational Church. There is a small island in the road as you turn. Once on Bay State Road, take your first right onto Pond Street (it comes up quickly). Follow Pond street to the end of the field and park in the small gravel lot. Please take a moment to read the rules-of-use posted there.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a house overlooking the field at the far end. DON'T GO DIRECTLY TO THE BOX SITE OR LINGER AROUND IT. Take your time, wander around, bring a trash bag as a cover! Be sure and read the historical sign posted at the corner of Pond Street and Bay State Road. Have fun!

From the parking lot, look left and note the row of small pine trees jutting out into the field. Follow the row from the edge of the field to the corner. Continue around the corner and follow the trees across the field with Rte. 44 on your right. Between the fourth and fifth tree, under some needles and a rock, you will find the box! Check yourself for ticks afterward!

There is poison ivy in this area. We couldn't use our first-choice spot becasue of it. We think the box is in a place without it, but look carefully!
