This box is on the Albany Waterfront Trail. This area is apparently rather controversial, given the graffiti all around. There's also a fair number of dogs--all off-leash despite signs sort of saying they should be on-leash.
Directions: From Interstate 80/580 Eastbound, take the Buchanan St./Albany exit. From Westbound 80 take the Albany exit. Follow the road until it merges with Buchanan. You'll need to cut across into the left turn lane and make a u-turn. Take Buchanan St. toward the bay. If you're coming from San Pablo Ave. or thereabouts, make sure you don't get on the highway. Go as far as you can and park by the 3 herons. (At least I think they're herons.)
Clues: Enter the park and go past the fire pit. At the Christmas tree, take the high road. Check out Malcolm X and the others in the portrait gallery. Keep on this trail, passing the memorial to Emily Wagner and tree house. When you get to the wooden bridge, check for the sunflower under the NE corner behind the piece of wood.
