If you like good food, good fun, and a whole lotta...crappy country music acts, you’ll love the Millersport Sweet Corn Festival, the 60th installment of which will be August 30-September 2, 2006.

To celebrate, I’ve placed Millersport’s first letterbox. Mathias Miller founded this village, my hometown, in 1825. To find the box, find his grave.

First, go to the corner of Mill Street and Winegardner Way in Millersport, which is about 25 miles east of Columbus on the southwest corner of Buckeye Lake. (If your map doesn’t have Winegardner Way, go to the corner of Mill Street and Lancaster Street, then go west until you enter the cemetery). Next, find the tallest monument in the cemetery. From the west side of the monument, take 14 paces (28 steps) at 300 degrees. You will find “SCF 60" in a stump.

The Festival’s official catchphrase is “It’s Ear-risistible.” This stamp uses an alternate catchphrase.
