Hello From Joe seems to be taking some time off from boxing. :) In the meantime, I wanted his great Peace boxes to stay alive! This box is alive and well. :)

Peace...in Lithuanian
Manchester, CT
NOTE: This is a 0.75 mile scenic hike in the vacinity of the Porter and Howard Reservoirs.

From I-384 take exit 4. If you are coming from I-384E, turn left at the end of the offramp. Then turn right at the traffic light. This is Camp Meeting Road. If you are coming from I-384W, turn right at the end of the offramp. At the traffic light, continue straight. This is Camp Meeting Road (deja vu!). Drive for about 1 mile, then turn left on Finley Road. Once on Finley Road, drive for roughly 0.3 miles. Pull over at a small dirt area near a fenced-in spot labeled "N12". Park here.

Carefully walk across the street. Then continue walking NNE for about 50 feet until you come to a gate. Pass through and stroll to a nearby blue sign that says "Porter/Howard Reservoir Passive Recreation Area". Standing next to the left post, find 340 degrees. Count off 90 steps in that direction. You'll be near a yellow gas line marker and a trail to your left. Enter this trail. Do you get the feeling that you are being watched? Pass a telephone pole on the right, then one on the left. Walk past a trail entering on the left. After a few minutes you gradually head downhill. Watch closely for another trail entering sharply from the left. It is near telephone pole #248. Turn here, passing under the powerlines. When you enter the forest, veer left at the first fork. Soon...another junction, turn left here as well. At a nearby "T" intersection, turn left. As you walk , you will notice the reservoir in the distance on the right. After less than 100 yards, turn right at a fork and walk by a white "Notice" sign. You will come to a trail on the right that leads to the shore, head left instead. You will come to a "T' at a spot overlooking the pristine waters. Turn left once again and take 70 steps to a log on the left pointing away from the trail. The letterbox is hidden under the far end. Please please please rehide carefully. It is in a fairly popular walking area. Once you have checked in, continue on the trail until you come to a familiar clearing. Walk back to the gate and proceed to your car.

Spread the word!
