Go to the horse barn near the Nature Center in Rock Creek Park. Walk to the end of the parking lot towards the enclosed horse ring. At the ring turn left and walk around the ring until you see a horse trail on the left. Follow the trail until there is a fork. Take the right side of the fork and walk about 1 minute or so. You will see a kind of clearing on the left with a tremendous fallen tree. The box is hidden around the roots of that tree.
