Egads! Unfortunately this box is MIA; there has been flooding on the Dan River, and the box needs to be replaced. It should be back by early March.
To get these clues in word format or to get a copy of the cemetery map before you go on your quest, you can email me at letterboxing.gs@gmail.com, and I'll send them to you.
Celestial Gold Award Series
Dan Daniel Park – Train Trestle Trail
Letterbox # 7
(#7 of an 8 box series)
• Start at the Danville Science Center’s entrance to the trail
• Cross the bridge over the river
• Take the part of the trail which goes under the bridge you just came over
• You will cross under another bridge
• A bathroom rest stop you will pass
• In the second field, find what was named after Pierre Magnol (sound familiar?)
• Go to the cement structure by it
• From the cement structure, head to the to poles constructed of wood and metal
• Go 10 paces at 11 o’clock; the letterbox is under the dead grass
Remember to be cautious; watch out for poison ivy and snakes when searching for the letterbox. Remember to place the box as it was and make sure it is hidden well before you leave. ありがと!がんばれ!
