Location: Kingwood Center, Park Avenue East, Mansfield, OH.
Pyramids and myself (Sirius Star Gazer) did this 2 box series together. We hope you enjoy the flora and fauna of this center. There is something different around each corner.
Turn into Kingwood Center from the Park Avenue entrance. Pull to the back of the parking lot. Walk to the end of the parking lot and go East. Walk through the brick courtyard. Pass through the concrete urns. See the fountain? Go to it and toss a coin in and make a wish. Take a left turn & head west. Go down 2 sets of steps & head towards the pond. Go southwest and have your quarters ready - you really don't want to be attacked by a hungry water bird do you? Also watch out for the peacocks. Beautiful, but please don't touch. Go west & cross the road. Take the brick path directly ahead. Pass the bench on the right & take the right turn towards the fountain. If you have time, take a rest at the fountain. When rested, head south towards the mansion. Climb up 4 steps and look for a star. Those eerie, high pitched cries? Nothing to fear - just another peacock. Go west and pay homage to the watch rabbit. Follow the gravel path behind him to the T. Go right. Take the first left path. Take another left & cross the tiny creek. Check out the top of the tall dead tree on the right by the second stone bench. There's a beautiful owl that makes his home here (a live owl, not a stamp. Also please don't make a lot of noise. There is a lot of wildlife to be seen if you are quiet). At the T, turn right and stop. From the white moss covered rock, take 88 steps. Turn & sit and ponder. East or West? If you don't want to be fenced in, look West. If you want to Take A Hike, look East.
