You can find this letterbox at the Eagle Scout Nature Trail in Plainville, MA. This is a short hike, bring bug spray as it is misquito-ey and wear your sneakers! There are a few other boxes in this area; The Grouchy Cat, The Pink Flower and Letter PALS.

*** thanks for letting us know about our letterbox, it has been restocked for the winter and should stay dry, unfortunatly we could not dry out our old log book :( **
Directions:

Take 495 to Exit 14B, Route 1 South. Follow Route 1 South past the Taunton Street intersection, Tropical Tree Nursery will be on the left. Go past the Plainville Truck Stop and then take your first right onto George Street. Down the street the Plainville Athletic League Fields will be on your right and past that on the left you will see a small picnic area near a pond, there is a dirt parking lot right after this. Turn in and park here.

Clues:

There is a nature trail sign to the left, start there and go up the stairs (be careful they are wobbly). Follow the white arrows on the trees until you come to a split in the path. Follow it to the left and go over the wooden bridge. Go up the hill, you will see a covered picnic area to your left and a trail leading down the hill to your right. Go to the right. You will have to cross a small stream at the bottom. Look for the arrow made of rocks to lead you in the right direction. Now it's time for some more climbing! Go up the incline 30-35 steps, you will come to a "U" shaped tree, it is very mossy and looks like a fallen log but it's really all one tree (the kids found this to be very cool) at the base there is a perfect cubby hole for a letterbox to be hidden. Look behind the stones and just "Chill Out".

Please make sure to hide it again and put the rocks back in front of it. Happy trails!

^^^ Please let us know you found our letterbox and if it is still in one piece. Thank you! Nicolesupermama@comcast.net ^^^
