Missa Sue's Cross Box LbNA # 22820 (ARCHIVED)
|Placed Date||Jun 6 2006|
Missa Sue's Cross box is located in Whitewater Memorial State Park. If you tell them you are just driving through, not camping, fishing or swimming, they should let you in for free. Otherwise I think it is $7.00 for out of towners. It is a very pretty place to be though, well worth the price. Go across the dam and park on the right. Walk across the right side of the bridge to the very long stairway down to the bottom of the dam. When you reach the end of the cement wall, take 28 steps, and look to your left where you will see a very large tree, with alot of exposed roots, get as close to the tree as you can and look around the back of the tree, a green box is tucked neatly in the back. We planted this letterbox on our vacation from Texas so we did not have ink and stamps to leave, so we put in pretty cross lapel pins. Please take only one pin per family please. Also leave your name, date, and where you are from. Thank you. E-mail us and let us know what you think and how easy or hard it was to find.
*Please take caution, the steps are very tiring, and probably not a good idea for small children. The water is right there, very dangerous for unattended children.*
