MRLC: Faces
Terrain: Flat, Easy, Stroller, and Handicap Accessible
Time Estimate: 5 minutes or less
Difficulty: Easy
Colors: Purple only please!
Bring: Gloves to prevent your hands from being scratched, and maybe a compass if you don't know your directions that well.
History: As you drive by the parking lots you will see a street marker. It has the name Cattell Drive on it. Mary Cattell was the founder of the theatre. Her mission was "to entertain, to educate, and to inspire across the generations through the art of live theatre." The theatre was founded 77 years ago. Today the theatre has classes and many shows throughout the year. I recommend seeing any of the shows. They are all great. Each theatre playbill has the full and complete history of the theatre.
Clues: Drive onto Walker off of Hampton in Western Springs on the north side of the train tracks. Pass the street marker mentioned above. Up ahead you will see the town's Recreation Center. To your left you will see a parking lot surrounded on three sides by a wooden fence. Park here. Once you get out of your car you will see an island that is used to distinguish the drop off and pick up at the Rec Center. Go to the southernmost tree on this island. By the base of the tree you will see a rock hidden a little by the shrubs. Go take a peek.
Please try not to make a path on the island. Bring your own ink. Please make sure to close the box and bags securely. Use the rock, dirt, and sticks to cover up the box. I don't want this box to go missing!
Have fun!
