Clues written and box planted by Cape Cod Fisherwoman.

Stamp carved by Archimedes' Screw

Back in the 1800's, before modern navigational aids,
lightships would anchor off the coast of Nantucket to
warn other ships of dangerous shoals. The crew would
stay out on these lightships for extended periods of
time. One of the first was the New South Shoal
Lightship, originally put into service in 1856. To
help with the boredom while serving on the lightships,
the crew members took up basket weaving. Thus evolved
the Nantucket Lightship Basket.

Your search for your very own Nantucket Lightship
Basket begins on the majestic island of Nantucket.

At "Towing enforced" at "56 only", go 23 paces at 20
