Miller Time-RETIRED LbNA #23101 (ARCHIVED)

From Route 1 in Narragansett, take the exit for Route 108S to Narragansett, Point Judith, and the Block Island Ferry. Follow Route 108S, past Fishermen's Memorial State Park, to the Galilee Escape Road. Take a right onto Galilee Escape Road and drive to the end. At the "T", you could go left to park for the Block Island Ferry. Instead, take a right toward the charterboat fishing fleets. Take your first immediate right into the parking lot of the DEM Galilee Boat Launch. Park your car as close to the brown DEM sign as possible.

Walk up to and then past the big brown DEM sign, walking towards the water. Stop at the red and white sign on your right that reads "No Parking Fire Lane Tow Away Zone". Look to your left, and you will see a dock that runs parallel to the bridge to Great Island. Look straight ahead and you will see the boat launch. Look to your right and you will see a string a large boulders running along the right hand side of the boat launch area. Walk up to the eighth boulder, which is made of pink granite, scored with blasting pins marks along the side of the boulder facing the road/launch area. Sit on top of the boulder and admire the view of the boats and the water. When you are ready, reach down along the side of the boulder facing AWAY from the road/launch area. You can catch "Miller Time" at the base of the boulder, under a pile of busted up cinderblock. PLEASE BE DISCRETE! This area is closely patrolled by the DEM. It is better to sit on the boulder to stamp in than it is to retrieve the box, stamp in elsewhere, and return the box, which will warrant unnecessary attention. Thank you.
