Maps of the Monoosnoc Ridge Trail can be found at http://www.leominster-ma.gov/recreation_department_park_sites.htm

Follow Gingerblue's Dee's Dix series, after Quatre, instead of making the excruciating climb up that hill head straight ahead on the trail which is blazed with yellow dots. This trail will gradually descend into the area which was once an active granite quarry. Follow the path along keeping the quarry on your left. You will come to a 5 sister gray beech tree on the left side of the trail which is marked with a yellow blaze. About 20 steps after that tree look to the right for a hollowed out white birch a few steps off the trail. Native Son #13, R.A.Salvatore awaits you there.
Continue along the trail. You will go past an opening with graffitied rocks and the path will start to go downhill.Look for the perfect trailside "bench" rock on the left side of the trail. Drizzt, the dark elf, guards that area from his cave under the back, right hand corner of that rock. If you need to finish Dee's Dix, go back the way you came and continue along up the hill for Cinq. If not, continue along this yellow blazed trail until you come to a T intersection where the yellow blazes continue to the left. Instead of going left, turn right and follow the unmarked path to the right. In a short time you will find yourself back on the trail that leads back to your car.
Thanks to The Oldhounder and Siamese for suggesting these latest additions to my Native Son series.
