This is the third of 4 letter box hybrid caches to be place by the
Geauga Park District for 2006. As Geauga County celebrates its
bicentennial in 2006, the caches will have a historic theme and
introduce you to the history of some of our parks. Both geocachers
and letter boxers are invited to seek this letterbox/geocache.
Part 1 is a small and part 2 is a regular. Drive to the Valley
Shelter to park for part 2.
Please don't remove any historical photos or artifacts from
the cache so that everyone can enjoy viewing them.
DIRECTIONS TO THE LETTERBOX/CACHE
The Lodge is where you’ll begin your quest, Down the back drive
would be the best. Parallel to the road, an old trail you’ll take,
When it veers to the right, you must stay straight. One hundred
feet in, you’ll spy a stone, Of the Porter family who nearby had a
home. This historical gravestone hides a clue, With directions
you’ll need to cache number two.
This letterbox hybrid geocache expires January 1st 2007. The park closes at 11
PM.
A PERMIT IS REQUIRED BEFORE PLACING A LETTERBOX ON GEAUGA PARK DISTRICT PROPERY.
