Bill the Lizard

This box was planted for the 2006 Great Lakes Gathering. It resides in Lapham Peak State Park, which requires either an annual pass ($28 for WI residents in 2016) or a day pass ($8 for residents.) Out of state fees are $38 for an annual sticker or $11 for a day pass.

To find where Bill the Lizard landed after Alice kicked him out of the chimney, start at the connector trail that joins the Meadow Trail with the Ice Age Trail at the northernmost point. Take the Ice Age Trail south. In a while, after passing by an old stone wall on the left and a bench on the right, the trail will travel along a pond. Stop when you reach a post with a yellow blaze that is near a 20’-25’ snag. Take a bearing of 160° to spot another snag up an incline. Bill is hiding in the log in front of the snag.
