*NOTE- this box is currently MIA- I will be carving a new Sylvester, drying my tears at my first lost box and re-post when he is back in action! 11/6/06

Welcome to the Sylvester and the Magic Pebble Letterbox. Though not required it would certainly make your LB journey more fun to read Sylvester and the Magic Pebble by William Steig before setting out on your journey. This was one of my favorite books as a wee girl and continues to be one I love to share with my sons. It is for the pebble collector in all of us, the child in all of us and most of all the wisher in all of us- I wish for more time to letterbox! This is a BYOI, please leave the red crayon, and please replace all the rocks on this boxes hiding spot- this hiding spot requires all the rocks to help conceal it's hiding spot! This box also has a little something for all finders- please let me know if the stock gets a little low and e-mail to let me know how Sylvester is doing!

Clues:

Imagine that you are Sylvester's parents and desparately trying to find him, unknowing that he has accidentally wished himself into a rock to avoid being eaten by a lion! You are both sad and determined to find your son, a little birdie named Stephen tells you to start your journey in the park with a huge lake. Start at the main entrance and where the children are playing- see that huge stone- is that Sylvester? Nope but with your back to the stone and your front to the lake go 320 degrees to a concrete path. Take the boardwalk across the lake past 3 pavilions, notice all the beautiful stones, are any of these Sylvester? No, but I am sure he would love these stones! After the 3rd pavilion the path will T, take a right and you will pass more lovely rocks on your left. Take a left at the path when you see a sign that says "No Skating No Ice Fishing" head towards the bench and you should be happy and sing from the Mount with Joy to know you are so close to Sylvester. Look to your west and notice a lone strawberry colored rock- go and sit on the rock (imagine this being Sylvester) and look 190 degrees and find the Locust guardian of your little lost Sylvester hidding in a fallen log, covered in rocks- Stamp up, take a souvenir, and make a wish- but be careful what you wish for!
