The White Stag is an magical animal, analogous to the unicorn. In Hungarian mythology, it was the creature that lead the brothers Hunor and Magar on a quest to a glorious land where they would father the Huns and Magyars, and found the nation of Hungary.

The White Stag appears in the Arthurian legends and Celtic mythology, as well as in both the beginning and the end of the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. In French mythology, the White Stag is a mystical hermaphoritic creature. Saint Eustace was converted to Christianity by the mere sight of a White Stag with a cross between its antlers.

The White Stag is a symbol of discovery, purity, and otherworldliness, not to mention Jagermeister.

Shortly after Robb and I moved to California, we went to Point Reyes, where we spotted and were able to watch one of the albino fallow deer that live near the park. For me, it was like seeing the unicorn. It seemed this magical White Stag had brought us to a wonderful new homeland.

There is a White Stag hiding in a secret park in Inverness. Park at Priscilla's Pizza, and follow the path. The White Stag is resting under the arch-shaped bridge on your left.
