Driving directions: From Washington Ave./ Bishops Lodge Rd. in Santa Fe, head north, then turn right onto Artist Rd. (Hyde Park Rd.). You are headed toward the end of the road at the Santa Fe Ski Basin (about 16 miles away). Near the end of the road, you will pass the Santa Fe Ski Area sign, go straight here until you come to the restrooms on your left. Note the sign nearby for the Winsor Trail, #254. Park car.

Hiking directions: Follow the signs for the Winsor Trail - you will immediately cross a small creek by the restrooms. Turn right onto the Winsor Trail, heading uphill in the direction of the ski area. Continue uphill for 20-30 minutes - it is a steady climb - until you reach a wooden fence with a sign for the forest. At this point, you are a little less than half way to your destination, but the steepest part of your climb is over. Here, you will leave the Winsor Trail, turning right before the fenceline and following the sign for Ravens Ridge. You will follow the fenceline on the trail for another 30 minutes, until the fence ends at a precipitous drop. From this spot, backtrack 3 fenceposts and look for a trail headed uphill to the south. Take 18-20 paces up this trail, then look for a small trail headed west. Take 5 paces down this trail and look for a large tree on your left. Box is behind tree, behind a light colored rock. This can be a popular spot on weekends so be stealthy. Find yourself a nice rock to sit on over by the "edge" and enjoy the wonderful view - Santa Fe Baldy is the nearest mountain to your north and Lake Peak is the rocky point to your east. Please rehide box well!

Seasonal Considerations: This box is at a high altitude (11,400 ft.). Be prepared for sudden changes of weather. Watch for lightning and afternoon thunderstorms in the summer. Box may be inaccessible due to snow in winter and spring.
