This box was made in honor of one of our favorite movies.
The Long Long Trailer starring Lucille Ball and Desi Arnez
We highly recommend watching the movie before trying to find this box although it is not necessary to find it. It will just help you understand the stamp and the route to get to it a little better.
Hike length: .5 mile round trip
Difficulty: Easy but trail is on a cliff so be careful with pets and kids
Location: Moon Falls
To Get There:
From I-5 exit 176 (East Cottage Grove Connector) head east toward Dorena Reservoir. (This road becomes Row River Road) Continue on Row River Road for about 19.1 miles to Layng Creek Road and turn left.Continue for 8.8 miles to road #1790 and turn right. Follow road until you see signs for Moon Falls.
To The Box:
Hike to the falls. Enjoy it's beauty and maybe explore a bit. When you are almost to the bottom of the falls on the main trail there is a dead half fallen tree on the right of the trail pointing back the way you came.
Across the trail from the tree is a moss covered ledge. Inspect it closely. There is a cubby hole in the rocks. The box is in the hole covered well with rocks and moss.
Please be sure to rehide box better than you find it.
How you enjoy the falls. This is one of our favorites!
Happy Hunting!
