Kid Friendly
Pet Friendly
Hike Lengthy: .5 mile round trip
Difficulty: Easy but a lot of uphill on the way back
Location: Spirit Falls
To Get There:
From I-5 exit 176 (East Cottage Grove Connector) head east toward Dorena Reservoir. (This road becomes Row River Road)Continue on Row River Road for about 19.1 miles to Layng Creek Road (Road #17)and turn left. Continue for for 8.8 miles to road #1790 and turn right. Follow this for about 150 yards to the trailhead (on your right).
To the box:
Hike down to the falls. Sit and enjoy. There are a couple of nice spots to sit and put your feet in the water. We did and we wished we would have brought a picnic.
When you are ready for the box. Look for the tree that has fallen along side the trail. It will have two fingers pointing to the falls. Approximately 7 feet up from the tip of the fingers there are two knobs (broken/sawed off branches) and a small moss covered spike. In the moss at the base of the spike you will find a Little Lady.
Please rehide her better than you found her.
Happy Hunting!
