JULY 2020 - Permanently Retired
UPDATE JANUARY 2020
This business closed.
It’s a sad day.
:(
UPDATE: DECEMBER 1, 2014
Checked recently and the box is still there and doing fine.
UPDATE: June 2011
I made a stamp to replace the missing one, and then several months later, the first turned up in the box again! Thank you to whoever returned it! So now there are two stamps! Enjoy!
UPDATE: April 25, 2008
Stamp is missing (logbook still there). I'll make a new stamp as soon as i can, but the Glass Castles shop is still a wonderful place to visit.
DIFFICULTY: easy
RISK: almost none
VISIBILITY: public area . . . . can’t be sure
(maybe you’ll meet someone to introduce to letterboxing?)
This box is located in a store on the Nacogdoches downtown square, called Glass Castles.
Store hours are Tuesday – Saturday, 9:00 – 6:00, closed on Sunday and Monday.
I encourage you to allow at least a few extra unhurried minutes in the store, to indulge your heart and spirit by enjoying the beautiful art that has made Glass Castles famous in our area. If you happen to find something you want to buy, that’s wonderful! (prices range from $2-$200) However, no purchase is required to find this box.
Here's the clue: the box is in a box. (yep, that's all you need to know!) :)
You can stamp in on the work tables that are in the main area of the store. You will be able to find a place that provides at least a bit of discretion, though perhaps not complete privacy.
Have fun and thanks for looking!
Ashby
