This box is hidden in Palo Duro Canyon, 12miles east of Canyon, TX. camping, outdoor theatre productions, and horseback tours are also available. see park information after clues.

The bluebonnet is the state flower of Texas, whose name possibly came from the shape of the petals on the flower which resemble the bonnets worn by pioneer women to shield themselves from the sun. (wikipedia.org)

Clues: Take the lighthouse trail. You will come to a fork in the trail, take the left fork. A junction will appear with a wooden bench to your left and large wooden signs in the center and to the right giving information about the geological structures. Find the sign "Fortress Cliff". Facing the sign, take the trail to the left 15 paces. The box is hidden at the base of a juniper bush to your left. Please be careful when obtaining this box. You might use a stick to uncover the rocks before you reach for the box---snakes can be found in the canyon. Please recover well with rocks.
