This box is hidden in Palo Duro Canyon, see park information after clues. Camping, outdoor theatre, and horseback tours are also available in the canyon.

Chili is the state dish of Texas. Consisting of beans, meat, and spices, it is sure to warm any cowboy on a chilly night on the Texas plains.

Clues: Take the lighthouse trail in the canyon. You will come to a fork in the road, take the left fork. After walking a little while, you will come to a junction. You will see wooden signs giving information about the geological structures and an old wooden bench. Go to the bench and take the trail next to it south for 15 paces. There is a mesquite bush to your right. Be careful! This bush has thorns. At the base of the bush is the letterbox. You might use a stick to uncover the rocks---there are snakes in this area.

Also, if you are looking for Palo Duro Mouse 2 hidden by silver eagle, this is not the bench you are looking for.
