I apologize to everybody who went looking for this letterbox, I went to check it out and the tree where the box was hidden was cut down,(it had apparently rotted)and the box was missing. I will replace the box in a different location soon, and I am sorry if I caused anyone trouble!
Hippity Hoppity is hidden in Mary Jo Peckham Park. There is a huge lake where you can fish, or eat lunch at the picnic tables that are scattered around it. There is also miniature golf, playgrounds, a swimming pool and fitness center, and a jogging trail. There are some ducks that live around the lake, you can bring bread if you want but I highly doubt that they will eat it! It is a beautiful park.
From I-45 take Hwy 90 into Katy,Tx. Turn right on Avenue D, and go to Gardenia St. Turn right and go to end of parking area. You will see park and parking lot on your left when you reach the end. Pull into the parking lot and park near the fitness building.
Let's go find "Hippity Hoppity"!!
Start at the central entrance of Mary Jo Peckham Park.
Walk to the "Y" in the sidewalk and take the left pathway. Hop down the path until you reach the first picnic table. From the table head to the shore of the lake. Continue on the shore until you reach the north end of the lake. There should be a large bush where the ducks make their nests, and four large rocks (Petrified??). From the rocks, hop 20 bunny hops north until you reach a tree with yupine growing around the base. There you will find "Hippity Hoppity". Make sure you replace the box well, it is a challenge, let me tell you! After that hippity hop down the bunny trail over to "Lakeside"!
