From Greensboro follow I-85, take exit 138 (Whitsett)and stay to the right off the exit ramp. From Raleigh follow I-85, take exit 138 (Gibsonville) and stay to the left off the exit ramp.
Park entrance is approximately one mile from the exit on the left. Follow park driveway to the parking lot for the picnic shelter. Take the time to enjoy your surroundings as you begin your hunt. Park your vehicle and begin walking down the trail marked Main Street. Take a left on the Lakeview Trail Entrance. Please sign the guest book provided by Lake Mackintosh Park before continuing. Follow the trail until you come to a fork in the trail. On your left will be a "DO NOT ENTER" sign, proceed to the right of the trail. Go 10 paces then look for the barkless tree stump on the left. From the barkless tree stump go 5 paces (slightly right) and look for the double-trunked tree. Once you have found the double-trunked tree remove the rock covering the hollow base of the tree. The box is directly under the rock.
Thanks for taking the time to find our letterbox and spend the day enjoying God's wonderful creation.
