This Box is at Deception Pass Sate Park.
I received a message that this box was accidentally removed from its hiding place, but the person hopes to return the box in the near future. I will try to post on here when i find out that the box has been returned sorry for any inconvenience -penguin girls
The idea for this box came from all the sea anemones that can bee seen attached to the rocks on west beach during low tide.
You will want to park at the north end of the parking lot. You will see a trail sign showing the distance to the ampitheatre, north beach, and the bridge. take this trail into the woods. soon you will come to a clearing -you should see the Deception Pass Bridge in the distance directly ahead of you. take the left hand trail, to your left you will see 2 trails into the trees, take the 2nd (and smaller of the 2)trail. follow the path around until you come to a T in the path. to your left youi will see a fallen tree across the path. Directly behind the fallen tree is a very TALL stump with a hole (about waist high)in its side facing the trail. The sea anemone letterbox is just inside this hole. it is a miniature letterbox (approximately 1 1/2 inches by 4 inches long) the letterbox is covered by tree "guts" aka sawdust.
Follow the trail back to the clearing to continue on the the "Rock Crab" Letterbox!
