NOTE: This Letterbox has definitely gone missing.
Since we live in Canada, maintenance is not possible until we next vist Miami at which time we will replace this Letterbox.
General Information
The Glenn H. Curtiss Mansion was initially constructed in about 1925 and is being restored as of 2006. It is located in Miami Springs in Dade County.
Letterboxers should use a local map to locate the intersection of ‘Deer Run’ and ‘Labaron Drive’ where the mansion is located. The local address of the mansion is: 500 Deer Run.
Clues
There is a golf course on the west side of Deer run and a paved walkway between the golf course and the road.
The walkway is protected from Deer Run by a series of porous boulders. These boulders start about 10 paces west of the west side of the gate into the Glenn H. Curtiss Mansion and run north.
The ‘Glenn H. Curtiss Mansion’ Letterbox is located on the west side of the most southerly (first) boulder under some rocks and debris.
Once you have found the ‘Glenn H. Curtiss Mansion’ Letterbox and signed in, thank you for replacing the Letterbox to ensure the integrity of its hiding place.
Please ensure that there are sufficient stones and debris covering the ‘Glenn H. Curtiss Mansion’ Letterbox so that it is well protected from the view of passersby. Thank you.
