THIS BOX IS MISSING THANKS TO LANDSCAPERS!!!!

Off Broadway in Knoxville, TN is a wonderful, hidden treasure....FOUNTAIN CITY.

Until 1962 Fountain City, Tennessee was the largest unincorporated city in the U.S. with a population of approximately 30,000. Upon annexation into the City of Knoxville, the suburb maintained its own identity with immense community pride. It remains a desirable place to work and to live.

The photo to the right is the my favorite part of this hidden treasure. The fountain is beautiful but what makes this place so unique is that there are ducks that swim in the fountain and people that fish there too....and it is smack dab in the middle of the hustle and bustle which makes this place even more delightful.

Next to this glorious fountain is Fountain City Park. Listen for the kids playing! It is here you will find Fountain City Letterbox.

Atop "Play Court".
Left to cinder.
Sit in front of middle bush/tree.
Between monkey grass and wall.

BEWARE! This is high traffic area, is well landscaped, there appears to be a lot of "loitering" and evidence of evening activity. Being discreet is essential to the success of this box. DO NOT STAMP IN at find site. Go to picnic area/gazebo/etc. IF you think, for any reason, this placement will be compromised...PLEASE return another day to get this box. By doing so, you help preserve boxing in Knoxville which is soon to have a LOT of boxes to brag about thanks to the kind folks at Atlas Quest.

NOTE - This placement is temporary until a better, more discreet place can be found closer to the actual fountain.
