NOTE: Letterbox revisited and was alive & well June 30/09. There had been 9 visitors to date.
General Information
Whitewood is a small rural farming town located along the Trans Canada Highway #1 in eastern Saskatchewan.
Clues
As you travel the Trans Canada Highway #1 past Whitewood, Saskatchewan, you will pass a picnic area on the west end of town.
The picnic area on the south side of the highway is quite visible due to the presence of 14 international flags.
The ‘Whitewood Flags’ Letterbox is located near the base of the US flag on the south side of the ‘rock island’ housing the 14 flags.
Specifically, while facing the US flagpole, the Letterbox is about 2 feet diagonally left and up about 1 foot from the ground (base of the US flagpole) hidden in the rocks.
Once you have found the ‘Whitewood Flags’ Letterbox and signed in, thank you for replacing the Letterbox to ensure the integrity of its hiding place.
Please ensure that there are sufficient stones covering the ‘Whitewood Flags’ Letterbox so that it is well protected from the view of passersby.
Please contact us by email at peter@brill.ca to let us know you found this box and the condition it is in, plus any other comments you may have. We look forward to hearing from you.
Happy Letterboxing!
