PLEASE BE DISCREET AND RESEAL AND REHIDE THESE BOXES CAREFULLY!

These boxes are hidden on the grounds of the Milwaukee County Zoo. (Please see their website to find out more about hours, admission fees and special events). The areas where they are hidden can be very busy at times. It would be ideal to go looking for the boxes at early morning or late afternoon times, (when the park is less busy) to avoid drawing too much attention to yourself when searching or stamping up.

Lions……

To find the Lion box, go to the road that runs parallel to the camel ride area, (it will be south, on the other side of a wooden fence). As you walk down that road, go to the first lamppost on the left that you see. Take a bearing of 140 and walk about 35 steps into the woods. Look for the mature tree with a rotting log at the base. The Lion box is hidden in the north end of the rotting log.

…..and Tigers…..

To find the Tigers box, go back to the road you were on and continue walking, over the railroad tracks, to a large picnic area. Veer to the right and head towards the Oak Grove concession stand. Go to the back of the building on the left hand side. Stand by the corner near the men’s room and take a bearing of 208. Walk about 40 paces into the woods, looking for a trio of tree trunks made up of different trees. The Tiger box is hidden in a hole in the base of the largest tree on its southwest side.

…..and Bears…..

Walk on the path that takes you to the Little Oak picnic area. Continue walking onward south, past the picnic area until you read a chain link fence. When you come to the gate, turn around and head north, walking about 20 steps until you come to a big rock on your left. From the rock, take a bearing of 270. The Bear box will be hidden in the middle of the log.

….Oh My!

And now you are done! Go and enjoy the rest of the zoo! Please remember to be discreet about these boxes since they are in such a public place. We would really appreciate updates on the conditions of these boxes when you find them.
