Yertle sits in a hollow tree,
Merry, merry, king of the pond is he . . .
Can you find Yertle?

Your journey begins at 135 Plumtree Road
Park in the parking lot
Walk to the swings
Walk through the trees to the edge of the ball field
Walk west to the yellow post at the treeline
Sight compass direction 194-degrees down the foul line
Walk 32 urban steps
Turn right
Go through the clearing in the trees to a path
The path goes slightly left at compass direction 248-degrees
Follow the path
Pass Yertle’s pond
Walk downhill – don’t trip on the tree roots
Walk up a small incline
Arrive at a tree stump and a fallen log on your right
The path makes a slight “Y”
Go right (in the direction of the fallen log)
Arrive in a tiny clearing/open space
Sight compass direction 281-degrees
Walk 26 urban steps (hollow stump on right at step 14)
Turn right
Find the small path at compass direction 38-degrees
Walk 19 urban steps
Turn right
5-6 steps off the path is a tree with a hole at the bottom.
Check to see if Yertle is home.

Please be discreet and rehide well.
