Location:(U.S. Route 2)Dixfield, ME
Hike Length: 0.1 miles
Elevation Gain: 10 feet

‘Tween Tainter Corner and Dixfield
The Newton Brook* runs
It’s a great place to stop
And get off your buns

A covered shelter
For a picnic is fine
After the repast
Walk the carpet of pine

The slight geographical rise
With rocks near the top
Is the perfect place
To slow and stop

Under a rectangular stone,
(It’s face toward the brook)
Is a likely place
For a letterboxer to look

Bring your own pen and ink pad.

Please be discreet and rehide well.
You can register this letterbox find here or at www.atlasquest.com

*There is a rest area on the north side of the road just east of the bridge crossing Newton Brook.
