From Leicester Center (Route 9) Take Route 56 North about 2 miles or so until you see a large reservoir on the right. You will come to the intersection of Route 56 and Marshall St. Take a left on Marshall St. and follow this down about 3 miles or so until you reach McCormik Road on the left. Follow this down about a half mile after the 4H. The parking lot is on the right, across from the pond. It's not really marked as being Buck Hill, but in the parking lot, you will see a memorial stone dedicated to John Tierney, who was the first chairman of Buck Hill Conservatory.
After you park, walk out back onto the road to the right. You will see on the left side of the street, a brown building built to sit an enjoy the view. Walk past the building and you will see a grassy path that borders the southern end of the pond. Take a left onto this path. It;s a nice walk because of all the black eyed susans, butterflies, and lily pads. Follow the path all the way to the other end of the pond. At the end, it bends to the left. You will know you are on the right trail because you will see a green sign "No Motorized Vehicles Except Snowmobiles". Follow this rocky path into the woods. The path brings you to a clearing and then back into the woods again. When you come to an intersection, stay to the left. YOu will come to another intersection with a stone wall on the right, Take a left onto the trail. Walk about 100 or so feet and look for the "Safety Zone" sign on the pine tree on the left side of the path. (This sign is easy to miss because it is meant to be read by people coming from the other direction) Across the path from the sign, you will see a large tree right behind the stone wall. Look behind this tree under a pile of rocks for the letterbox.
