CLUES:

Use main entrance and park your car in the first parking lot on the left, by the walking track.
Start walking up the brick walkway. On your left you will see a big tree with a birdhouse on it. Stop directly across from it. Stay on the walkway.
Walk ahead 25 feet. Stop. The walkway will continue straight or fork to the right.
Follow the right way and you will go far. Keep walking.
The walkway will seem to disappear. Look closely and look beyond and you will find your way. Look for the hidden bricks under the grass or look ahead and you will see them ahead.
The trees wills guide you on your way.
On your left you will find a tree named for Charles W. Lucas. Take a moment to remember the brave soldiers who have fought for our freedom.
Just ahead you will see the mighty Sherman Tank it is a memorial to all Veterans of World War II. Go and have a closer look, every cranny, every nook.
When you’re done there is no doubt that you’ve become a terrific scout. Go back to the waiting bricks, firmly planted with no tricks.
Continue on do not stray, the path to the left stay away.
At the top of the hill, to catch your breath, take a seat and swing. Think about good things you do and the happiness you bring.
Go back to the path when you are ready. Seek six pine trees tall and steady. They will be on your left right next to the path.
When you come to the sixth pine tree, stop. Turn to your right.
Straight ahead, you will see stairs which lead you to good rules to follow.
Stop at the top of the stairs. Look left and right for cars. When it’s safe cross over.
Look at the tablets carved in stone. Read them if you like.
When you are done turn around and go back across the road again safely.
Go down the stairs and continue straight into “memory circle.” Look for a circle garden with benches around it. Remember someone that you love.
Go to the back of “memory circle” and look straight ahead. The trees will guide your way. Walk toward someplace one might go to sit and watch a play.
After the trees you will see three rows of seats/steps. Watch your step.
Walk down to the third row of seats/steps.
Follow that row around to the left until it ends. Look to your right and you will see three steps.
Go down these steps to the landing.
Look to your left and you will see another set of steps. Go down to the twelfth step.
Look to the left, in and behind the rock you’ll see. A letterbox waiting for thee.
To find your way back to where you began, follow the gravel path down to the covered bridge. Don’t Slip!
Cross over the bridge and go to the left.
By the trees with vines you’ll see, a place of loving memory.
Follow along the walking track. It will surely lead you back.

After crossing the covered bridge, you may decide to go to your right and follow the walking track around to the Veterans’ Memorial. Take a look at the names of all the brave men and women who have fought to preserve our freedom. Take a moment to remember them. Be thankful for our freedom which is often taken for granted.
