This replaces our old Film Lover’s Letterbox. Very different stamp, new location, new find. Please bring your own inkpad and pen.
This letterbox is placed on the grounds where the Yarmouth Drive-in once stood.
To get to the grounds:
From Route 6, take Exit 7. From either direction, you will take a left at the off-ramp. Look for Higgins Crowell Road on the left. It is the 2nd left after the ramp and is marked by a sign that says "W Yarmouth Bass River". Take Higgins Crowell. There is a roundabout along the way, you take the first right to stay on the road. Go straight through the first set of lights. At the second set of lights, take a left onto Route 28. Look for the Zooquarium on the left and particularly, Martin the Bear. Take a right across from the bear statue onto the paved road by Crowe's Pasture (there is a sign marking Crowe's Pasture among the trees.) Follow the road to the gate and park there.
Follow the paved path to a field of rocks. . Walk to the right and forward, around behind the pipes. Look for the upright pentagon. Behind the pentagon and between it and the triangle is What’s Playing at the Yarmouth Drive-in?
