We look forward to both locals and those traversing the "scenic drive" over the Snowy Range visiting this new box. We hope to interest others to locate boxes in the "Med Bow" National Forest.

From Laramie, travel west on State Highway 130, to the town of Centennial. Continue on Highway 130 past Centennial for one mile to mile marker 28. Approximately .7 miles past the 28 mile marker, turn left onto Forest Service Road #338. (This road is just before you reach the Forest Service Information Station.) Continue approximately .2 mile where you will turn left into an open area overlooking the Centennial Valley. After parking, take a minute to enjoy the wonderful view of the valley and mountains.

From this area, you will see a well used two track trail heading southwest. It is marked with an “A”. (from this point, it is approximately .5 of a mile to the letterbox location)

The trail continues through an open area and then becomes heavily forested. You will pass open spots on the right that is used for camping. Stay on the main path, ignoring the path that leads off to the left and back up hill. A short way ahead you will see a granite rock on the left and several trees marked with blue paint on the right and left.

Look for the yellow Forest Service sign on a tree on the left and a bit further you will see a Forest Service Road sign also on the left. You will continue straight on the main trail.

The trail opens up a bit and as it curves around to the left is dense with willows and other bushes. You will see a campfire ring just before the trail ends at the creek. Stand in front of the campfire ring facing back up the trail and go back 14 paces. On the right, a few feet off the trail, there are a group of rocks on the ground and a tree stump. From the tree stump, count 20 paces towards a fallen tree. At the root end of the tree there is a stump from another tree. The letterbox is located inside the stump concealed by loose pieces of the stump. Thanks for coming to Centennial and locating our box!
