Park in the day use area of Aspen Point Campground. Bring a picnic to enjoy later! (As of August 2008 the day use fee is a whopping $6.00. Perhaps the number of boxes nearby makes it worth a few bucks to you.) Clues are easy to moderate. (Try the Trees & Water letterbox for a shorter, easier hunt.)
You may want to hand-color the stamp in this box. If so, bring brown, green, blue, and yellow or orange markers.

NOTE: This box was MISSING as of 9/27/10. Current plans are to replace it after the snowmelt of 2011.

1. Begin at a geyser named Haws, between the man and the woman.

2. In the direction the water points (or slightly to the right), proceed 45-50 steps to a bi-level, hollow stump of considerable size.

3. Turn about 90 degrees to your right.

4. Continue through the portal, past the fishing bird. (When you come to a beach on the left, walk down to the water and enjoy the view, including the wonderful tree that likes to dip its feet in the water when the lake is high.)

5. Continue along the trail. Pass the place where Lily enjoys reeding to a ponderous group of various races, some more lively than others.

6. Beyond 64 pierced pieces of equal length, you will see an arm extended on each side. An area below the right arm even sported a tattoo when we were there.

7. At the end of the right arm, take a slight detour into the troll's domain. Search for and rescue the box from under some rocks.

THIS AREA WILL BE BURIED UNDER SNOW DURING THE WINTER MONTHS. IN THE SUMMER YOU WILL WANT TO BRING MOSQUITO REPELLENT! This beautiful lake is very popular in the summer months. Please be discreet as you discover and stamp the logbook, and re-hide it just as it was found.
