Once upon a time, two teen girls met in a small town in Massachusetts. As time went on they married, gave birth to daughters who were born two months apart. Over the years their paths diverged but they always stayed in touch. Forty three years later, one woman and her daughter live in Vermont. The other woman and her daughter still live in the same town and brought their hobby of letterboxing to their lifelong friends in Vermont. In the spirit of friendship, this box was created and placed by the four lifelong friends.
ENJOY! "JACADAS"

Directions:
From the main intersection in downtown Springfield, go up Summer St and bear left at fork towards signs for Hartness House. After the cemetary take right on Summer Hill St. Summer Hill turns into Woodbury Rd as you ascend a steep hill. Look on right for sign for Hartness Park and bright yellow gate. Enter park and follow main path staying to the left for less than half a mile. At the first cleared path on the right, either stay on the main path or veer right, looking in between the paths for a huge boulder. Walk off the path to the boulder and in between the boulder and a piece that split off you will find the Friendship Letterbox.
