Park behind Staples in Avon at the intersection of Rt. 44 & Rt. 167 going to the small parking area nearest the woods. It would be great if each one brought a trash bag along and picked up some of the trash that seems to abound here. If each one picked up one bag-full, we could really make a difference!
Walk up the grassy slope and enter the woods onto a path. Same starting point as Here Comes the Band.

Clues:
Turn right and follow the wide path down into a gully. Climb the hill at 335* and turn left to pink and orange marker ribbons. Head west, up the ridge to a mass of stones. Continue on about 5 paces and look at 130* for pink and orange ribbons ahead. Go there.
Standing under pink and orange, take 4 paces at 115*. Examine the base of the tree, under needles, bark and stone.

PLEASE, PLEASE, cover completely and as inconspicuously as possible, putting pine needles on top when possible. TRY TO MAKE IT LOOK NATURAL.

Now head 150* to a pink marker on the trail below. Turn left on the trail until you see double orange times 2 plus 1. Now walk at 100* toward Staples and the parking lot. At the trail, turn right for a short distance to the entry where you came in by a small rock pile.
