From Worcester: Rte 122 west to Paxton Center. From here,
take Rte. 31 south. The main entrance to the park is on the right about a mile or so from Paxton Center. Follow the paved road to the parking lot on the left.
After you park, come out to paved road and take a left (no cars are allowed on this section of the road). You will walk down a bit until you come to a scenic viewing area on the right. You can’t miss the large covered bridge overlooking the waterfall and pond. Walk up and over this bridge and slightly to the right. You will see a cement & rock storage area with a wooden built into the ground. Walk up and over the storage area. You will see a brown “hiking trail marker” and the pond will be to the right of you. From this marker, take about 47 steps down this path to a tree almost in the way on the right with rocks around the base. At this tree, look to the left. You will see a stone bench tucked in. Behind the bench, you will find the “sunburst” letterbox, hiding under some rocks.
