Start at Platt Park located behind Platt Farm on Flood Bridge Rd. in Southbury.
(Take exit 14 off 84 headed toward South Britain…this is Rt. 172.
Turn right onto Library Rd. This becomes Flood Bridge Rd. Turn left between the
White farm house and drive between the barns. This looks like their drive way but
It is really a raod. Follow the road to the trail head.)

Follow the blue trail until you come to the “blue-eyed” trail to your right.
Go down the not so gently sloping hill and across the little wooden bridge.
Continue to follow the path through the woods and along the stream.
The path comes to a very difficult bridge to cross. Although the urge to “Bridge” in Girl Scouts is strong, its time to turn around and look behind you.
Climb the mound that looks down on you.
Your Brownie Fairy has hidden herself at the base of a tree under some stones to keep her dry.

Return to the blue trail.

Turn right and follow the blue/white trail to the center field post. This is a long walk.
Turn left onto the red trail.
Follow the trail into the woods.
Can you hear the frogs?
As you come close you are at the very edge of a large pond.
The trail comes to a large collection of stones to the right of the trail.
A cave of white holds your Daisy treasure.

Follow the red trail until it forks at the tip of the pond. Take the left onto the blue trail to head back to the parking area. This will pass a wonderful stone fireplace and campfire circle which is great for smores!!!!!!! Have fun!!!!!!
